“Reflections on COP15 Biodiversity Conference: An Observer’s Perspective” by Dr Bikash Kali Das

As an observer at the COP15 Biodiversity conference, I had the opportunity to participate in and witness the discussions and negotiations that took place at both the Kunming, China and Montreal, Canada gatherings in 2021 and 2022 respectively. The conference, organized by the United Nations, brought together representatives from various countries, as well as experts and organizations, to address the pressing issues of biodiversity loss and the need for conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity.

The main concept of this event organised by “XuFancheng Culture Study Center” is to provide a platform to those remarkable Individuals who are contributing in the Academic and Cultural fields. Tribute to Mahakavi Bharathiyar

Mahakavi Bharathiyar (also spelled Bharathi) was a renowned Indian poet and freedom fighter from the state of Tamil Nadu. He is considered one of the greatest poets in the Tamil language and is known for his patriotic and humanistic themes. He wrote on diverse topics such as Indian nationalism movements, women’s rights, and spiritualism. He also wrote in other languages, including Hindi and English. Bharathi died in 1921 at the age of 39. His works continue to be widely read and celebrated in India today.

India-China Cultural and People-to-people exchange​-“The Great poets of India & China “Mahakavi Bharatiyaar and XuFancheng”

Mahakavi Bharathiyar and Prof. XuFancheng were polyglots and poets. Understanding the significance of these two writers in promoting Indian culture, a drama on both of these scholars is curated by the team and presented in front of the Chinese Ambassador to India Sun Weidong, Madam Ambassador Diana Bao, and Cultural Counselor Zhang Jianxin.

An Introduction to Chinese calligraphy, by renowned Chinese calligrapher Master Zhang Zhenzhong 

Master Zhang Zhenzhong 张振中, (courtesy name Shi Xin in calligraphy and painting) He was born in 1934 in Kunyang (Pingyang County平阳县), Wenzhou city, located along the southern coast of Zhejiang province, China. Master Zhang comes from a family of calligraphers, painters, and ancient Chinese medicine practitioners. He is currently a member of the Wenzhou Branch of the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Art Association and a director of the Wenzhou Nanou Painting and Calligraphy Academy. He had participated in provincial and municipal painting competitions, municipal school paintings, and calligraphy exhibitions. His works are both refined and popular and are deeply loved by the public. Every Spring Festival is invited to write Spring Festival couplets for community residents to donate good fortune and good fortune, which is well received by the masses. His Calligraphy works are often collected by calligraphy lovers and collectors at home and abroad.

An introduction to Chinese tea culture ceremony by Madame Qīng Yī from Dali, Yunnan

Preparation for the tea ceremony requires certain steps. Our event will give a brief introduction to begin the proper tea ceremony preparation. Madam Qing Yi is a Chinese tea connoisseur, a certified expert on tea culture and ceremony. Madam Yi won the 2019 China National excellence award in Chinese tea connoisseur and is a China National Intermediate level tea master, she is also China’s National Tea master skill examiner. Madam Yi has experience of over 10 years in the field of Chinese tea culture. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism in 2009 from Dali University. Because of her love for Chinese tea culture, she joined the Xiaguan Tuocha and currently working as a senior master trainer in Chinese tea etiquette and culture.
