“India and China Celebrate Shared Heritage and Remember Late Professor Xu Funcheng at Cultural Evening in New Delhi”

On December 21st, 2018, China and India came together in New Delhi, for the first meeting of the China-India High-level People-to-People and Cultural Exchanges Mechanism. China’s State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi and India’s External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj released “Essays in Memory of Prof. Xu Funcheng” at the China-India cultural evening.

“Discovering Chinese Contemporary Art: Prof. Tansen Sen and Chinese Scholars study the paintings of Professor Xu Fancheng in Pondicherry”

Early this year on Jan 4th, 2020, a team of scholars led by Professor Tansen Sen, Director of the Center for Global Asia at NYU Shanghai visited Pondicherry to study the paintings of Chinese artist, Professor XuFancheng. The group, which also included two Chinese scholars, spent few days examining a collection of Professor Xu’s work, which is housed at the Sri Aurobindo ashram studio.
