3rd China-South Asia Cooperation Forum
The 3rd China-South Asia Cooperation Forum (CSACF) was held on November 20th, 2022, with the theme “Mutual Assistance for Regional Shared Development.” It was an important platform for promoting friendly exchanges and cooperation between China and South Asian countries, and I had the privilege of attending the forum virtually. The forum was jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and the People’s Government of Yunnan Province.
The forum aimed to bolster all-around cooperation and development among China and South Asian countries, and it was attended by government officials, business leaders, academics, and other stakeholders from the region. The forum covered a wide range of topics, including economic and trade cooperation, people-to-people communications, and experience sharing.
China-South Asia Cooperation has become increasingly significant over the years, and the CSACF has played a crucial role in promoting cooperation and development in the region. Yunnan Province, in particular, has implemented China’s development strategy and persevered in the diplomatic principle of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit, and inclusiveness.
The forum included the Launching Ceremony, China-South Asia Health Forum, and the 2nd Conference of the South and Southeast Asia Medical Education and Service Alliance, and the China-Indian Ocean Rim Think Tanks Forum. The health forum discussed ways to promote cooperation in the health sector between China and South Asian countries, and the medical education and service alliance aimed to promote cooperation in medical education and service delivery in the region.
The China-Indian Ocean Rim Think Tanks Forum discussed ways to promote cooperation and exchange between China and countries in the Indian Ocean Rim, which is an important area for China’s Belt and Road Initiative. The forum also included a series of exhibitions and side events, showcasing the achievements of China-South Asia cooperation.
As someone who has been closely following the development of China-South Asia Cooperation, I was impressed by the level of engagement and cooperation displayed at the forum. It was heartening to see that China and South Asian countries are committed to promoting mutual assistance and shared development in the region.
In conclusion, the 3rd China-South Asia Cooperation Forum was an important milestone in the development of China-South Asia Cooperation. The forum provided a platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas, promote cooperation, and foster a community of shared interests. I believe that the forum will pave the way for a new era of mutual assistance and shared development in the region, and I look forward to seeing the fruits of this cooperation in the years to come.
